DEAR TEACHERS, PARENTS, AND PROSPECTIVE DELEGATES,
It is my distinct honour to invite you to the 23rd iteration of Vancouver Model United Nations. As one of the largest high school student-run Model UN conferences in the world, VMUN typically welcomes over 1,400 delegates, staff, teachers, and distinguished guests each iteration. I am excited to announce that VMUN 2024 will take place from January 26th to 28th, 2024 at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver in downtown Vancouver.
Since its inception in 2002, VMUN has consistently provided a realistic and engaging simulation of the United Nations and its associated agencies for passionate youth who share an interest in global issues. As one of the premier high school Model UN conferences in North America, VMUN has earned a reputation of being a professional, vibrant, and educational experience for all participants. This year, we are proud to continue with this legacy: we are excited to offer a high-quality conference experience and an extensive programme of debate, with 20 diverse and innovative committees. Over the past few months, the VMUN Secretariat has worked diligently to craft the best conference to date, having reworked many aspects of the delegate experience, and we are looking forward to sharing some of our work with you.
In addition to offering an enriching educational experience, VMUN is proud to once again offer considerable need-based financial aid for delegates who may not otherwise afford to attend. Accessibility is core to VMUN’s philosophy, and we believe that no delegate should be prevented from attending the conference and be denied the experience of a lifetime due to financial constraints. We are proud to have consistently been able to provide all delegates requesting assistance with partial or full financial aid packages. VMUN 2024 will once again be hosted at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Vancouver in the heart of downtown Vancouver (vancouver.hyatt.com). A long-standing partner of VMUN, the Hyatt Regency Vancouver offers modern and comfortable guest rooms and expansive conference spaces. Additionally, the hotel is conveniently located near numerous restaurants and coffee shops.
