DEAR TEACHERS, PARENTS, AND PROSPECTIVE DELEGATES,
It is my distinct honour to welcome you to the 25th iteration of Vancouver Model United Nations, taking place from January 23rd through January 25th, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver.
Since its inception in 2002, VMUN has consistently provided a realistic and engaging simulation of the United Nations and its associated agencies for passionate youth who share an interest in global issues. A quarter-century later, as one of the largest high school student-run Model UN conferences in the world, VMUN has earned a reputation for providing a professional, vibrant, and educational experience for each of the over 1,400 participants who attend each iteration.
This year, we are excited to continue this legacy by offering a high-quality conference experience and an extensive programme of debate in our 20 diverse and innovative committees. Whether delegates are grappling with the consequences of emerging technology in security, labour, and healthcare, or reexamining historical eras of religious, social, and political upheaval, they will be challenged on their ability to debate and collaborate in the face of pressing concerns and sweeping changes. At VMUN, we aim to cultivate these diplomatic and analytical skills—skills that may prove more important than ever in our present world of both progress and flux.
In addition to offering an enriching educational experience, VMUN is proud to provide considerable need-based financial aid. Accessibility is core to VMUN’s philosophy, and we believe that no delegate should be prevented from attending the conference and denied the experience of a lifetime due to financial constraints. VMUN 2026 will again be hosted at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Vancouver in the heart of downtown Vancouver (vancouver.hyatt.com). A long-standing partner of VMUN, the Hyatt Regency Vancouver offers modern and comfortable guest rooms as well as expansive conference spaces.
