DIPLOMACY IS NOT A SPECTATOR SPORT.

Vancouver Model United Nations (VMUN) is one of Canada’s premier educational simulations. A three-day Model United Nations conference based in the heart of Vancouver, VMUN is the largest high school student-organized Model United Nations conference in North America. Since its inception in 2002, VMUN has simulated world diplomacy, inspiring our delegates to become more aware, more educated, and more thoughtful global citizens in an increasingly complex world.

Delegates at VMUN are immersed in a thriving fast-paced environment, working together to create practical and dynamic solutions to the world’s most pressing problems. Our diverse committee line-up will allow students to think critically, collaborate with others, propose constructive resolutions, and develop the diplomatic skills that are more important than ever.

Our committee staff comprises high school students from throughout the Pacific Northwest who are carefully selected based upon their extensive Model UN and debate experience and expertise. The foundations of VMUN—a team of professional staff, an atmosphere of progress, and a high quality of debate—mean that every year, VMUN brings together over a thousand passionate high school students who are dedicated to ensuring our world works together to bring about global change.
