Financial Aid
VMUN is proud to offer considerable financial aid for both delegate and school fees, in the form of fee waivers. Please contact delegates@vmun.com or sg@vmun.com for any questions regarding financial aid.
Delegate Financial Aid
At a $150 early-registration delegate fee, which includes two nights in the hotel, VMUN 2013 is one of the most affordable day conferences available. Nevertheless, we firmly believe that no student should be prevented from attending VMUN due to our fees. For this reason, we encourage all prospective delegates who may require financial aid in order to attend VMUN 2013 to apply for a 100% or 50% delegate fee waiver.
The only criterion for financial aid eligibility is need.
To apply for delegate financial aid, please submit two documents:
- A short typed statement addressing your need for financial aid and why you want to attend VMUN 2013. Include your full name, school, and preferred email address at the top of the page.
- A signed note from a school official (administrator/teacher/counselor/staff member) or a separate email from your MUN sponsor teacher certifying your need for financial aid.
Submit both documents together to sg@vmun.com. You can either scan/attach the school official note, or have the official email sg@vmun.com directly (please let us know to expect this in your own email).
It’s best to apply for financial aid before registering, so please contact us early!
School Fee Waivers (Teacher Sponsors)
Financial aid is also available for school fees (teacher chaperone room costs & deposits). No delegation should be prevented from attending VMUN 2013 due to our fees. If it would be difficult for your school or your delegates to pay the teacher chaperone room fees or deposits* (perhaps there is no school funding available for MUN, or it would be an undue hardship to pass the extra costs onto your delegates), please apply for a 50% or 100% fee waiver.
To apply for school fee waivers, teacher sponsors can simply contact us directly at sg@vmun.com. No documents are required.
*Do note that all deposits are credited to the amount due from the school and are not extra fees.
